A summer when everything was late and out of kilter, but the roses bloomed with a wondrous intensity of colour. Many of the photos used to create this image were taken at the Rose Garden in Southsea, Portsmouth in the grounds of Osborne House, East Cowes, Isle of Wight and at Butterfly World near Newport on the Isle of Wight.
